CABLEVISION is a Mexican company part of Televisa Group, Leader in private paid television and high speed Internet service provider in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. We currently have more than 215 channels, among these we have the best domestic and international ones, pays per view, digital music without ad commercials, High Speed Internet access through CABLEVISION Internet, High Definition TV, VoIP, Digital Video Recording (Cableadvance DVR) and soon Video on Demand, in other words, a vast range of added value services that no other entertainment company can offer simultaneously.

Case description

CABLEVISION was in a invoice/receipt control restructuring process. This was done because of the integration of the new telephone services in July 2008. The invoicing and replacement of invoices in the branches was done manually using a spreadsheet. The new receipts and canceled ones in the branches were integrated into the accounting through an interface using “middle ware” Vitria.

Users could also obtain information of previous invoices, which were only informative.

Solution Planning

XSA generates all CABLEVISION subscribers a valid digital invoice and sends the information of each digital invoice to the printer shop so this information can be sent via traditional mail or email. XSA generates more than 600,000 digital signed invoices in less than 4 hours.

The integration between the CABLEVISION ERP (Oracle Communication Billing and Revenue Management) and the printer shop is done in less than 2 days, delivering a full paperless cycle in days instead of weeks.
